They find two construction workers who claim to be surveying the area before destroying the building by implosion. Conan quickly deduces they are confining a person in the building due to regulations preventing the building they are in to be imploded. The criminals, realizing they have been figured out, seal up the building and chase after the kids. Conan is knocked out by his rebounding soccer ball and Ai is captured. The criminals prevent the remaining Detective Boys from calling the police by threatening to kill Conan and Ai.
